In this game, a Digimon’s strength and performance is affected by three main systems:
- Rank – overall power tier (mostly seen on Mega and above)
- Digimon Attribute – the classic type-advantage system (Data/Vaccine/Virus/Unknow/No Attributes)
- Element – elemental bonuses and weaknesses (Fire/Water/Ice, etc.)
Rank System

Rank is a tier that represents a Digimon’s overall power level. In general, higher rank = stronger baseline (but your final performance still depends on gear, cloning, seals, buffs, and your setup).

Digimon Attribute

Digimon Attributes are the main type advantage system. There are 5 attributes:
- Data (DA)
- Vaccine (VA)
- Virus (VI)
- No Attribute
- Unknown (UK)
Attribute Matchups
- Data is strong against Vaccine and No Attribute
- Virus is strong against Data and No Attribute
- Vaccine is strong against Virus and No Attribute
- Unknown is strong against all attributes
- No Attribute has no advantage against others
Attribute Experience Bonus
When your Attribute reaches 100%, you gain a 50% damage bonus (normal attack + skill damage) against enemies that your Attribute has advantage over.
Elemental Attribute

Elements provide additional bonus/penalty damage depending on the enemy’s element. There are 11 elements:
- Land
- Fire
- Ice
- Light
- Steel
- Neutral
- Pitch Black
- Thunder
- Water
- Wind
- Wood
Element Matchups
Element bonuses and penalties vary by matchup. Some matchups give bonus damage, while others reduce your damage.
Also, every element gains a bonus when attacking Neutral.
Element Experience Bonus
Element damage also benefits from experience levels. At 100%, you gain a 50% damage bonus against elements your element is strong against.
How to Gain Attribute & Element Experience
Attribute and Element experience increase when your Digimon meets certain conditions. This affects the bonus damage you can get at higher percentages.
Standard Attributes (Vaccine / Virus / Data)
Vaccine (VA)
- Gain Attribute/Element experience by defeating Virus enemies.
Virus (VI)
- Gain Attribute/Element experience by defeating Data enemies.
Data (DA)
- Data Digimon do not gain experience by normal combat the same way.
- Instead, Data Digimon gain Attribute/Element experience by standing next to you while you turn in Broken Egg Shells (and other egg items) to PawnChessmon.
No Attribute (No)
- There is no way to raise Attribute/Element experience for No Attribute Digimon.
Unknown Attribute (UK)
- There is no normal method to raise Attribute/Element experience for Unknown Digimon.
- Unknown Attribute has fixed base values which is 75%
